I offer a functional, holistic, and neuroscience model of therapy.
I am privileged to have worked for 15 years as a respiratory therapist in critical care and trauma medicine, with infants, youth, and adults in BC. This experience has offered me a unique lens on the complexity of mental and physical health, attachment, and relationships, and how they are all interconnected.
I am here to support you on your journey of growth and healing.
As a Masters in Psychology and Addictions Counselling candidate, I am deeply committed to providing empathetic, compassionate, and evidence-based counselling to individuals with mental health and substance use issues. My therapeutic approach is strength-based, culturally informed, and goal-oriented, incorporating techniques including motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed therapy to support lasting change.
With nearly a decade of work experience in healthcare, I currently work as a Mental Health and Addiction Rehabilitation Outreach Worker at Vancouver Coastal Health, where I have been since 2020. In this role, I primarily work in the community and in clients’ homes, aiding them in achieving long-term recovery and successful reintegration into their natural environments. I have also completed my Bachelor of Science at the University of British Columbia.
I have experience supporting individuals with a variety of mental health conditions including depressive and anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, Bipolar Disorder, personality disorders, and concurrent substance use disorders.
With close guidance from my supervisor, I can help you to navigate mental health and addictions-related challenges in a safe and supportive environment, so you can create meaningful, positive change in your life. My ultimate goal in working together is to empower you in your journey towards long-term wellness.
